  1. For my research paper, I would like to focus on the accomplishments of Jesse Owens at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. At the 1936 games, Owens was subject to discrimination by Adolf Hitler and white supremacists. Jesse Owens' was able to discredit Adolf Hitler's claim that the Aryan race was dominant by winning four gold medals in a single Olympiad. His accomplishments will be forever remembered mainly because of his ability to rise above segregation and do the impossible.

I plan to focus specifically on Jefferson’s affair with Sally Hemings and the treatment of the six slave children that Sally Hemings gave birth to over the course of their relationship. Finally, I would also like to discuss how Jefferson’s relationship with Hemings affected the choices he made as president and how the public reacted when they discovered the extent of his affair.

    1. Good start, Kyle. The second part about the results needs a bit more focus. The affects are very far-reaching so focusing on just one of these things (e.g., government) would be the way to go.

The case was heavily followed by the nation and aroused many riots that supported either Simpson or the families of the two murder victims. The topics brought about by this trial had a great impact on the nation and changed how many people viewed the LAPD as well as the power of public figures and their image.
